education, we need to attend this conference. Here we will
learn latest trends and receive new literature and training for
new programs with Key Note speakers
Dr.
Mary Holley
will
present "What's New at Mothers Against Methamphetamine" our newest programs and literature,and new
marketing materials for all chapters to use.

O Smith - Keynote Speaker
Chief Branch Officer DMD for Homeland Security teaching at FLETC
will
present "Gangs," a primer on
rap music and what those lyrics are really talking about. This presentation will feature actual lyrics translated into
terminology
we can understand. The content is for adults only.
Tom
Maluga
from
Chicago, Director of Safe Families for Children will
describe a Christian alternative to foster care for children. In
this program, volunteer families care for the children of troubled
families as the parents seek out drug rehabilitation or other
assistance.
Dr.
Karen Kuehn Howell
from Emory University
will
discuss the impact of maternal
substance abuse on child development from birth to adolescence. She will discuss all drugs of abuse including nicotine and alcohol.
Lisa
East
will
present her program Court Appointed Special Advocates
and Child Abuse. She will describe how this national organization
provides legal and emotional help to children in abusive situations and alternative care.
Regina
Martin
Executive
Director of the Golden Isles Children Advocacy
Center will describe STOP IT NOW, her agency's training course for
professionals working with sexually abused children.
Charles and Sharon Burton
of Overcomers
Recovery Support Program will present their Biblical 12 step program for recovering addicts.
